You've finally found it, you bid for it, and bought it! The dream house! You're about to restore that farmhouse, convert that barn, decommission that chapel, or perhaps renew a part of your home using beauty of design and material combined with the best of craftsmanship. You want to build something into your home that has immediate character and will add value over the years while mellowing with the passage of time.
Oak flooring is produced from kiln dried material. It is machined with tongued and grooved edges and has stress relieving grooves to the underside to keep it flat. The boards are end matched and are easy to lay. They are available in a 21mm thickness and in 120, 140, 160, 180, and 200mm finished face widths and in random lengths of 1.0m to 2.5m long. Venables Oak also supplies OSMO floor wax and other finishing products and can help you select the best for your application.
When laying solid wooden flooring, it is essential to make sure that the whole area is thoroughly dried out, sealed from the elements, and that all wet building trades have been completed. If the room or building has recently had wet trades we recommend the use of a dehumidifier to dry out the environment before the flooring is introduced. Once installed, we recommend leaving the flooring in the room for approximately a week to settle.
Current availability on our solid European oak flooring is approx 7 working days from receipt of your order subject to stock availability.
